SPRINTER ECO MODE
Sprinter ECO Mode | Engine Computer Optimization for ~10% Fuel Reduction
What is Sprinter ECO Mode?
Sprinter ECO Mode is our economy-focused engine computer optimization for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans. ECO Mode helps you use less fuel on your routes while keeping drivability smooth and predictable.
ECO chip tuning is an individual reprogramming of the vehicle’s engine management (ECU) performed by experts at the Sprinter City shop. We refine parameters such as injection timing, fueling, and torque delivery so that all adjusted values aim at one goal: reducing fuel consumption.

What ~10% Looks Like (Simple Math)
-
You drive 10,000 miles/month at 21 MPG → ~476 gallons/month.
-
With Sprinter ECO Mode (~±10%): save ~48 gallons per month (about two full tanks).
-
Multiply by your fleet size to estimate the annual impact (and COâ‚‚ reduction).
Note: Estimates are benchmark-based; actual results vary by engine, load, routes, aerodynamics, tire choice, maintenance, and driving style. Real results show up in multi-tank averages, not single fill-ups.

FAQ
How much fuel will I save?
- Plan on about ~10% under similar loads and routes. We verify using multi-tank averages.
Will drivability change?
- Most drivers feel smoother low-RPM torque and need less throttle to hold speed in traffic.

Is ECO Mode safe for my engine and emissions systems?
- Yes. We work within safe operating ranges. If the baseline check shows issues, we’ll advise fixing them first.
Which models do you support?
- W906, W907, W910 with OM642 (3.0 V6), OM651 (2.1 D), OM654 (2.0 D). Not sure what you have? We’ll confirm by VIN.
